Become a Member
Membership in the San Francisco Botanical Garden supports the living
museum of plants. Benefits of membership include Annual Plant Sale preview
privileges, discounts on programs, books, and plants at San Francisco
Botanical Garden and at selected local nurseries, a subscription to the
San Francisco Botanical Garden Leaflet & Course Catalog, and
free admission and discounts at many other botanical gardens.
When you become a member of the San Francisco Botanical Garden, you contribute
directly to these programs:
- Keeping
the Garden flourishing - San Francisco Botanical Garden members
finance new collections, renovate existing ones, label the plants, and
fund interns to assist the gardeners.
- Sharing knowledge - The San Francisco Botanical Garden's exceptional
educational programs, exhibits, and innovative children's programs promote
public understanding of plants and our natural surroundings.
- Helping Bay Area gardeners - The San Francisco Botanical Garden's
library (the Bay Area's only major
horticultural library) and bookstore (offering one of the Bay Area's
finest selections of books about plants and gardening) are a leading
source of information for gardeners, horticulturists, scientists, and
students.
- Preserving rare and unusual plants - The San Francisco Botanical
Garden's nursery preserves and raises thousands of rare and unusual
plants and makes them available to Bay Area gardeners at
plant sales throughout the year.
