This story follows the life cycle of the ruby-throated hummingbird, including eating, mating, nesting, rearing of chicks, and the annual migration. The annual migration of hummingbirds is many thousands of miles. This story explains how such a tiny bird can fly so far. The story also describes the kinds of plants that the hummingbird feeds from and makes suggestions of how the reader can attract hummingbirds to the garden. The drawings illustrating this material are whimsical and engaging.
